The MN State Fair slots have been filled.  Sharon Manninen, the State Fair exhibit coordinator, will be contacting participating teams with dates and other info.

MSHSL/FIRST State Championship - important details

For Teams Attending the MSHSL Competition this weekend, some important details:

We did not purchase Game Balls, so please bring balls with you to use for the competition.  Make sure that your team number is on the ball. 

NEW! THERE Will be a Practice Area at STATE. Rochester 2530 is bringing a high goal (half length), low goal, and short plywood truss.  Nevis (team 3102) will bring a piece of carpet.

The national anthem choir, made up of team members, will meet at Pit Admin at 7:45am for practice.  Dean Diers, Team 3840, will be the director.

MSHSL/FIRST State Championship Qualifiers

Team Leaders, the qualification results for the MSHSL/FIRST State Championship have been posted (http://mnfirst.org/docs/2014/MSHSL_2014_rev2.pdf).  Alexandria (Team 3313), Edina (Team 1816), and Prior Lake (Team 2169) all earned automatic invitations by winning the Chairman’s Award.  Because of this, teams to 28th place have earned invitations to round out the 30-team field.  Places 27 through 30 were determined by the tie-breaker criteria.   Putting together the qualification point totals is a somewhat manual process.

FIRST Minneapolis Regionals - Seminars and UofM Lab Tours

Additional Info for the 10,000 Lakes & North Star Regionals:

The University of Minnesota will be offering lab tours on Thursday afternoon March 27Sign-up sheets will be available at the U of MN College of Science and Engineering tables in both arenas.  The approximately 60 minute tours will depart from the CSE tables in both arenas at 1, 2, 3, and 4pm.

Mar 19 2014 - MN FIRST MSHSL Standings, MHTA Scholarship

Minnesota Teams, 

MSHSL: The unofficial standings for the MSHSL State Championship that are floating around are very preliminary and give an incomplete picture.  There are still 96 teams that haven’t played their first event. The real standings will come out after Week 6 (Apr 3-5).  

Email Blast - FIRST Duluth Regional Events - important info Feb 26 2014

FIRST Teams heading to the DECC for the Lake Superior and Northern Lights Regionals:

Load-in/Parking  - Check out the regional website for details (http://mnfirst.org/frc/duluth-directions).  Load-in is from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday evening or Thursday from 7:45am to 8:30pm.  Once teams have brought in their gear, they will be asked to leave the pits until 8:30am on Thursday.  Please note there are separate load-in locations for each regional.
