The Minnesota FIRST Regional Planning Committee would like to formally thank the more than 500 Volunteers, Judges, and Key Volunteers who combined their efforts to make the 2016 Minnesota-based FIRST Robotics Competition Regional events successful for the 246 Teams competing! No FIRST event is possible without our dedicated volunteers!

MSHSL FIRST Robotics State Competition In the News

Minnesota FIRST Teams made headlines during the 3rd annual MSHSL-FIRST Robotics State Championship. TechdotMN and WCCO were live on-site at Williams Arena. Congratulations again to the first-place alliance of Team 2175-Fighting Calculators,  2052-KnightKrawler, and 4778-StormBots!


Calling All FRC, FTC Teams - PTC is hosting two Hands-on-Workshops!

Minnesota FRC and FTC Teams, PTC is hosting two free Hands-on Workshops July 23 and July 24. You choose the location -- either Prior Lake or Blaine -- for sessions delving into CREO (How to Model Anything) and the Project Development Process. Led by PTC trainers, these day-long seminars will send you and your team home ready to tackle the challenges ahead.

MN FIRST- July Training Opportunity

On July 27th, GOFIRST will host its second annual Summer Robotics Summit. The Summer Robotics Summit is a full-day event with many different speakers, much like Minnesota Splash, but with a focus on advanced topics; asking not just 'how' questions, but 'why' questions, and the strategic decision-making involved therein. The list of speakers is still being finalized, but a full list of speakers and presentations with abstracts will be sent out shortly. More info will also post on the GOFIRST website,



2013 MSHSL Webcast

The MSHSL/FIRST Robotics State Championship Webcast gets underway with opening ceremonies at 8:30am on Saturday, May 18.  The webcast will be found at, the official web partner of the MSHSL.

Mentor Training Offered by HTC

Two workshops for high school engineering mentors are offered this June by Hennepin Technical College. The workshop in Eden Prairie is focused on helping STEM competition mentors become more familiar with engineering concepts, how to apply them to competition robotics, and providing resources on how to teach them to their students.  The workshop in Brooklyn Park is focused on creating a can crusher that mentors can take with them to demonstrate engineering concepts. 2013 MSHSL Tournament Roster Released

The MN State High School League/FIRST State Championship will be held at Williams Arena for the top 30 teams in the state.  Click on 2013 MSHSL Qualifying Final to see the list of teams and the point totals. Teams must confirm to Mark Lawrence by May 3 their intent to compete at the state championship event.  

STEM Career Fair - Eagan High School

The Eagan High School Robotics team - FRC Team 2220, Blue Twilight - will host a STEM Career Fair on Tuesday, February 26. The Fair will run 6 pm to 8 pm in the EHS School Cafeteria. Please read this flyer for complete details.
