Open House and tour of Xcel Energy Nuclear Training Center in Monticello

Hello WIRES! (Women in Robotics)

My name is Stephanie and I was one of the staff members that was at the Training Center helping out the day WIRES visited.  Thank you again for coming out to the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant for a tour in July!  We always enjoy having you visit! I just wanted to reach out to you and let you know of an upcoming event we’re hosting.  It is an Open House event open to our community.  Anyone from the public is invited to attend.  The event is on Thursday, September 15th from 5:30-8:30 PM at the Training Center (the same facility you attended the tour).  We will have various activities and stations where you can learn about nuclear power, various educational and career paths that can lead to jobs at a nuclear power plant, the simulator will be available for tours, a take home science experiment, and of course food will be provided!
